I got the job! I am officially a Kindergarten teacher!!!
I got the call Friday afternoon- hours after Jane called me.
I am thrilled!
If any of you have Kindergarten experience or ideas, please let me know. I've also been talking with a few parents of young children to see what they liked or disliked that their children's teachers have done. Any advice is strongly welcomed.
Thanks for all your prayers and support. I'll continue to keep you updated on the progress of things!
absolutely wonderful, my heather. I am so so so happy for you and your joy. This is going to be the most amazing year for you - I tear up with thankfulness that you are so happy and determined... full of love and inspiration... encouragement and passion. I love you, heather. I miss you much and so wish I could soak up more of your beautiful character in person. Go get 'em babe... you ARE THAT woman.

I hope all of us has some kindergarten experience...I myself am a graduate of kindergarten (I have the pictures to prove it). My advice, which has nothing whatsoever to do with my early-on bladder issues, is to keep extra pairs of unisex sweatpants.

ReplyDeleteHey Heather, it's Katelyn Roth, from the old St. Paul's days haha. Anyways, my mom, who talked to your mom, recommended your blog to me, and I've been reading it here and there for the last several months. I just wanted to say congratulations on your job, and thanks for being awesome! I really think you've helped me figure out that I also want to be a teacher, probably without you even realizing it!
